Recently, an international container port performance index released by the World Bank and IHS Markit indicates that Qingdao Port of Shandong Port Group (SPG) stood out among 351 ports worldwide as the only port of 20 million TEUs club, entering the top three of the CPPI 2020 list.

Shandong Port Group, with the premium and efficient service, won great reputation in the port industry and attracted many shipping companies to open more routes. In 2020, Qingdao port added 20 new routes, including 14 foreign trade ones. Another 8 new foreign trade routes has been opened since 2021, leading to a transportation transit pattern which Qingdao port plays as the hub port and other ports as feeder ports gradually.

How to further break through bottlenecks and improve efficiency? Shandong Port has adhered to the initiative of the national strategy and established the "five international leading parts" development positioning themed as "international leading intelligent green port”. It remains to be seen the future eminent performance of Qingdao Port in CPPI index list in 2021!
