What is roller

The rollers, an important part of the belt conveyor, are of many types and in large rnumbers to support the conveyor belt and the weight of the material.It accounts for 35% of the total cost of a belt conveyor and generates more than 70% of the esistance, so the quality of the rollers is particularly important.

The function of the rollers is to support the conveyor belt and the weight of the material.The rollers must be flexible and reliable to reduce the friction between the conveyor belt and the rollers, which plays a key role in the life of the conveyor belt, which accounts for more than 25% of the total cost of the conveyor. Although the rollers are a relatively small part of the belt conveyor and are not complex in construction, manufacturing high quality rollers is not an easy task.

The difference between ordinary roller and SPD roller

Roller--Normal rollers consist of roller shell/shaft/bearing housing/seal and so on.

Roller Shell--The tube is cut and machines using automatic numerically controlled machines,that guarantee and maintain the tolerances and the precision of the square cut.

Bearing Housing--The bearing housing is shaped through various stages of precision stamping,to efficiently connect to the bearing cover part. It needs only to be assembled once, with the various sealed components, which increases the effectiveness of the seal whilst,at the same time,decreasing the impediments to the roller.

Bearing--These are the parts which give virtually frictionless rotation to the tube body with respect to the fixed spindle.Precision bearings only are used. They are the radial ball rece type of the series.

Shaft--This is the component which sustains the roller when it is assembled into the throughing set supports. It is made from drawn steel cut and machined by automatic numerically controlled machines.
