Recently, the large-diameter green intelligent conveying system independently designed by Shandong Port Equipment Group Rizhao Port Shipbuilding&Machinery Co., Ltd was awarded the gold medal of the third Industrial design competition of the "Mayor Cup".

The Rizhao Huaneng Power Plant Pipe Belt Machine Project constructed by Equipment Group Rizhao Shipbuilding Machinery Company adopts the company's self-designed and developed green intelligent conveying system with large pipe diameter.  This project is the green intelligent conveying system with the largest pipe diameter actually put into production and applied in China, which is equipped with intelligent equipment such as inspection robots, automatic deskewing devices, and high-precision line sweep modules. It transports coal from Shishu Port to Rizhao Huaneng Power Plant, with a designed annual capacity of 5 million tonnes and a length of 2,420 meters.

The R&D team spent one year completing the pre-bidding, line planning, and standard parts selection. In order to guarantee the workshop pushed forward the production and fabrication as soon as possible, the R&D team worked overtime to design the drawings, install the steel knots, and debug the equipment, which created a new record of the longest and heaviest trusses lifted in a single time and shortened the originally planned 20 days' working period to 7 days.

After the project is put into operation, it replaces the traditional car transport mode, effectively relieves the pressure of road transport, saves transport time, reduces the risk of road traffic safety, and reduces the emission of nitrogen oxides by 200 tonnes and road dust by more than 183 tonnes per year, realizing a win-win situation in terms of economic and social benefits.
