The successful signing of the first foreign tugboat construction contract

On August 22, Shandong Port Equipment Group(hereafter shorted for SPEG )signed two tugboat construction contracts with a famous company in Singapore. This is the first batch of overseas tugboat construction projects contracted by the Equipment Group.

SPEG has obtained the Grade-I Class III Production Qualification for steel general ships Grade- Production Qualification for steel fishing vessels, Class B Design Qualification for steel fishery vessels, and the Design and Construction Qualification for marine fishery platforms. The certifications from the CCS, GLBV, and ABS Classification Society have also been awarded to the company. The main business scope covers shipbuilding, repairing, marine machinery manufacturing, and steel structure engineering.

The tug is a new generation of 70T full-swing tug (TUGWISE 3270 series) developed by BLUE MARINE SOLUTIONS for European customers, with an overall length of 32 meters, a beam of 12.40 meters, a design power of 5000PS, equipped with a dual-engine, dual-propeller full-swing propulsion system, FiFi-1 external fire-fighting system, and other equipment and facilities. It has good stability, seaworthiness, and maneuverability, and can meet the requirements of harbor towing, external fire fighting, etc. The overall performance reaches the advanced level of international harbor tugs and will help the Singapore port to further improve the level of harbor services after the completion.

Since this year, SPEG has been committed to strengthening and optimizing the business of high-end offshore equipment and has actively explored the overseas market on the basis of guaranteeing good service to customers in the port area. The proportion of orders received by the company in the overseas market to the total orders received has reached 31.41%, contributing to the construction of "double first-class" equipment for Shandong Port with solid performance.
